I think the worst is when successful shows try and spin off new shows that are really just the same but with different actors.

CSI: Miami. Why not just run CSI another night each week. And how many more Law and Order shows can we get? In case NBC happens to read this, here's a few ideas:

Law & Order: Juvenile Justice
Law & Order: More-or-less true stories
Law & Order: Desk Clerks
Law & Order: Traffic Stops

And of course...
