More abstract words
Talking to himself today in the van, I heard him say, “That doesn’t make any sense.” I laughed because I was sure he was just repeating something he’d heard me, Daddy, or Savannah say. Hearing me laugh, he kept saying it, several times. On the way back from Costco, about an hour later, he said it again from his seat in the van. I didn’t laugh this time, and he asked me why. I said, “Some things just lose their funny.” He asked, “Did you lose your funny?” I said, “No, sometimes, words lose their funny. But I always think that you’re funny.”
One day about a week ago, Seth asked me if he could do or play something. I don’t remember what. I said, “I’m afraid not.” He asked, “Are you afraid? Why are you afraid?” That was a hard one to explain.
