A different boy
In the party store, looking for her birthday party supplies, we went down an aisle where a boy was standing. He looked about 5 or 6. He was throwing a fit, saying something like, "You always say no. No, no, no. I don't get anything in this store." There was also gibberish between some words because he was very upset.
The only thing that made me think something was different about his tantrum was that a man appearing to be his father several feet away, didn't seem very interested in calming him down. He wasn't saying no, and he wasn't giving in either. I wondered if this was normal for the boy, meaning, he had a behavioral problem. We had to pass the boy. Savannah was going to approach him, probably say, "What's wrong?" I made her take the side of the stroller and walk on past him.
Around the corner I explained that some people are just very different. We don't know why. They're just different, and we try not to stare. She walked back to catch him in her view saying, "I'm just gonna watch."
Comments
Hello, I hope you dont think im a creep for posting a comment on your daughters blog. I use movable type for my blog as well and I clicked through to bradchoate.com from perlguy.com->japh.org. It is such a coincidence that you have a little girl about to turn 4 just like I do, so much so I thought I would tell you about it. My wife and I were just in "Michaels" getting some supplies for Mackenzie's cookie decorating party. Mackenzie will be 4 on the 12th of Aug. Here is her picture: http://jim-knight.com/pictures/july2003/july2003-04.jpg
Hope you have a happy birthday!
