Rough night

Savannah cried out about 6 times last night, unless I lost count, with nighmares. She mostly dreamed about bees, saying she could see them in her room. (There were a few bees by the kiddie swings at the park.) After the fourth time I went in there, I told her she could get in the bed with us.

After much squirming and flopping, I made her go back to her own bed. Once settled in and dozing, she woke up talking about a storm. I then turned on her butterfly night light. The last time I went in, she talked about a spider.

She was never hysterical or very scared, kind of whiny really. I finally told her to sing to herself or count which has never seemed to work well before. I lay in bed hearing her high, monotone singing. It was really cute. She didn't wake up til I went in at almost 9 a.m.

I actually had the foresight to set the alarm because I knew that on little sleep, my usual alarm, Savannah, wouldn't wake up at her usual time. But the clock alarm didn't go off. We got ready in a hurry with several things to remember to take to the church building. Once I got her dressed, I stood up, creating a leg cramp in each calf! It wasn't unbearable, although the cramps are kind of still there. I'm in a much better mood than I was this morning! I taught the children in Bible Hour, and that seems to pick me up.
