Never got her popsicle :(
In trying to get Savannah to eat at least one vegetable, I tell her she'll get the popsicle she so desparately begs for if she eats one little carrot stick. I've learned to go about this casually.
Today she said she wanted a popsicle; I'd lost count of how many times. (The same little carrot stick sat on her plate from lunch. She had already finished her chicken and had some yogurt as well.) So I responded to her request, "There's a carrot stick in there with your name on it." She gave her little gasp when she finds something interesting or thinks she's on to something, and I knew she took me literally. It was so cute. She turned from my bedroom where I was hanging pictures and scurried to the kitchen. I called out that it was just pretend cause I didn't know what she expected to find and didn't want her to be disappointed.
She came back with a little shred of paper. ??? I'm still too amused to remember what I said then.
