A park day

A friend of mine in Missouri said that when her boys were little, if they asked to go to the park, she'd always try to take them, stop doing dishes or whatever. I think about that every now and then. If you don't want to have regrets about having fun with your children, think about it while they're little.

Well this morning I was the one who thought it was a good idea to go to the park. After my chiropractic appointment, we went to a nice park that we've been to a couple of times. A cool 71 degrees, it looked a little like rain although it never did. We made new friends, Emma, 4, and her mother Liz. Liz had a really nice haircut, so, looking for a hairdresser, I asked her who did her hair. Turns out she does it herself. She does color treatments too. I asked how much she charges and got her number. The girls hit it off, so we'll have to do a playdate at the same time. We were at the park nearly two hours, so I just put Savannah down for a nap knowing she'll be tired.
