Update
Sometimes Arwen sleeps with her eyes just slightly open.
It appears she's getting the same gap between her top teeth that Savannah and Seth got from me.
Her laugh for when she's amused is very staccato, like little laughter bullets. When she's really happy, she just opens her mouth wide, squints up her eyes and gives a squeal.
She has one squeal, sometimes a scream that cuts right through me. One day recently Arwen pulled up to the couch cushion where Brad and I were sitting. She screamed her rough little scream and made me nearly climb the wall. When I jumped, Brad asked what was wrong. I said, "Didn't that bother you." He hadn't really noticed her scream much. It's as if the pitch of her scream is finely tuned to pierce through her mother's ear drum, saying, "Tend to me, now!" I have a friend whose two year old, the last baby of five, has always been loud and screams to defend her toys. Arwen definitely competes for attention being the last of three. When I heard my friend's little girl scream, for some reason I thought it was cute. ???
She fusses at almost every meal. I see her watching her family eat. She wants to take control. But with only four teeth, she can't eat like we do yet. I give her a few finger foods that are easily chewed, but a lot of her meals still come from baby food. So we fuss at each other through our meals together. She doesn't seem to know how to reject the baby food, she just opens her mouth out of habit or instinct, then makes a face and fusses.
